Worship
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord- Psalm 150
It’s not about you…It’s all about God! From the dawn of creation to present day, everything was made to give glory to God. Worship is part of our everyday life, from prayer, to giving thanks, tithing, singing, helping others. It’s easy to see that worship is more than just Sunday morning. It’s something that consumes our lives, as it is our way to give praise and honor to God.
Each week, we come together as a family to worship corporately. During this time, we seek to give God pure, authentic praise, which simply means, it comes from the heart.
When?
We have a morning worship at 10:15 and Encounter worship at 6:30 (laid back, creative way to end your weekend). Small group Bible study is at 9 am. We also have multiple times and events for children, youth and adults.
What to Bring?
Your entire family. We have classes and activities for all ages!
Parking and Entrances?
We have “Guest Parking” spaces available as well as ample handicap spaces. Parking near the East Entrance gives you quick access to the preschool wing and Youth Loft and the front entrance leads you to the worship center. The back entrance (Union Square) takes you to the two-story education building and the gymnasium.
Is Childcare Available?
We have children’s ministry activities and nursery care available for kids of all ages! Nursery care is available for infants to 3-year-olds during all church services and classes. Children’s Church is available for our 4 to 7 year-olds during the 10:15 a.m. service.
What to wear?
Like any large family, you’ll find us dressed in many different ways, from casual (jeans and khakis), to business (skirts and suits). For leisurely events such as our Wednesday night studies, shorts and t-shirts are appropriate.
Where do I/we sit during the service?
You are welcome to sit anywhere you’d like. If you need assistance please ask one of our greeters. They’ll be happy to help you.
As a guest, what are you asked to do?
You will not be asked to stand up and introduce yourself or wear a “visitor” badge, however there is a Communication Card in the pew for you to tell us a little more about yourself, request information about our ministries or request a visit from our staff.
What is the Worship/Music like?
At Union we love to sing! And because music speaks to us in different ways, our service at 10:15 am provides an all-inclusive worship experience. Sunday mornings will consist of “making a joyful noise” singing the beloved, well-known hymns to contemporary music and songs of the faith. Lyrics are provided on our screen in front of the sanctuary.
God’s House, God’s Family
As a guest of ours, we want to make you feel at home, so if we can be of any help, please let us know. After all, that’s what families are for!
