LIFECare exists to serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs within our church family. We deeply believe in the Christian affirmation that God created mankind for relationship with Himself and others.
We are blessed to have a qualified team of servants who assist in shepherding our church family. These volunteers help meet the day-in and day-out needs of our congregation during times of celebration such as the birth of a new baby, as well as times of loss, divorce, illness, career and/or financial issues, and spiritual crisis.
The Church has been given the charge to continue Christ’s ministry of compassion. These folks are deeply dedicated to serving the needs of the congregation and pray continually on your behalf.
A baby is a gift from God and its arrival is a celebratory time within the life of a family. When a baby is born into our community we want to share in your joy by supporting you during your hospital stay and by organizing some meals for your family upon your return home.
Baptism is an important step for every believer. Baptism doesn’t make you a believer – it shows that you already believe. It does not “save” you, only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring – it’s the outward symbol of the commitment you make in your heart that you believe and desire to serve Jesus Christ all the days of your life.
Baptisms are celebrated on a regular basis. If you are ready to follow the Lord in the waters of Baptism – contact us to reserve a date.
Celebrating Communion is the centerpiece of our corporate worship. We come to His Table with all humbleness and thanksgiving, acknowledgment and honor, remembering always the sacrifice he made for us.
Our Deacons assist in tending the Lord’s Supper on the second Sunday of each month during the morning worship service.
Prayer Concerns and Praise Reports
Sometimes in our lives a crisis surrounds us quickly and we need to feel the support of a prayer covering. We believe in the power of prayer and the gift of gratitude, therefore we desire to hold your need before the Father and to always give thanks.
If you are in need of prayer, please call 865.687.4500.
Illness, Hospital, and Funeral Care
The Bible clearly depicts the priority Jesus gave to the care of the sick and dying. Human suffering, illness, death are devastating issues; they cause us to face our powerlessness, our limitations and our mortality. Illness can leave us feeling anguished, maybe even despairing at times. On the other hand, illness can become an opportunity for maturing, discerning the true direction of one’s life and sharpening our focus in terms of priorities we hold.
To prepare a meal in the name of our Lord provides a tangible way for us to say we care and we support you. Whether you are facing a difficult crisis or hardship of some sort, or simply celebrating the gift of new life – it’s our way of practicing radical hospitality!
We are sensitive to the needs of the members of our church family who may be homebound. We provide opportunities for fellowship and communion for those within our congregation in need of assistance.
It is always exciting to celebrate the marriage of two individuals committing to a life-long loving relationship. We hold the sanctity of marriage between a man and woman in high regard, and it is our deep privilege to share in this sacred occasion with you and your family.
